Limited licence
Over the last 15 years I have obtained limited licences for close to 100 clients. In all that time I have never had one declined by a Judge. The main reason is that I am experienced enough to know what is possible and what is not and most are not opposed by the Police. Having said that I have also obtained numerous limited licences where the Police have opposed.
The process is that I interview you (sometimes by phone), then I prepare draft documents which I send to the Police seeking their comment. After that I file your application in Court and then you and I appear in Court. The Judge then makes a decision. After that you take the order to the AA and obtain your limited licence.
The fees are:
Limited licence after being disqualified by a Court:
$1,127.50 (made up of my fee $900 plus GST plus filing fee of $150.
Demerit points
$1,227.50 (made up of my fee of $850 plus GST plus $250 Court fees (filing and sealing).
You might want ot use an online service but generally that does not include representation in Court which is important if the application is opposed by the Police or if the Judge needs some convincing on the extent of the conditions (i.e driving hours or the area etc).
I have a good working relationship with the Wellington Judges and Police prosecutors and this tends to minimise those problems. In the first instance call or send me an email to discuss.
